Typing Speed Test for Kids — Practice Online
By the time kids hit 4th grade, they're expected to type essays — but most schools don't actually teach typing. Typing Speed Test on SchoolGames is a no-frills practice tool: simple sentences appear, the student types them, WPM (words per minute) and accuracy are measured. No scary leaderboards, no in-game purchases — just real practice. Average 4th-grader starts around 15 WPM and reaches 25+ WPM after 4 weeks of daily 10-minute sessions.
How it works
A sentence appears. The student types it as fast and accurately as possible. Each correct character is highlighted green; mistakes are shown red and must be corrected before continuing. At end-of-round: WPM, accuracy %, and total time. Track progress across multiple sessions to see WPM grow.
